Materials & Construction Features
1. High-Temperature Hollow Ceramic Core
Manufactured from one-piece high-alumina insulating ceramic, the hollow core features an internal convection air channel for efficient heat dissipation. It provides excellent vibration resistance and maintains stable insulation performance at temperatures up to 350°C. The ceramic structure withstands repeated high- and low-temperature cycling without cracking.
The flat alloy ribbon is precision-stamped into a continuous corrugated profile, providing an exceptionally low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). Two alloy materials are available to suit different applications: Nickel-Chromium (Ni-Cr) for continuous high-power braking and energy dissipation, and Constantan for precision low-current sensing circuits.
The end clamps, terminal posts, and mounting brackets are manufactured from thickened stainless steel with a passivated anti-corrosion finish. The assembly passes a 45N terminal pull test without loosening, offers excellent resistance to soldering heat, and minimizes contact heating caused by oxidation.
4. Non-Inductive Design
Using a dual-wire reverse non-inductive winding technique, the equivalent series inductance (ESL) can typically be controlled below 10nH, making the resistor suitable for high-frequency switching circuits operating at frequencies up to 100kHz.

Product Advantages
●Extremely Low Inductance – The corrugated structure combined with reverse non-inductive winding effectively eliminates self-inductance, suppresses high-frequency oscillation and voltage spikes, and protects power semiconductor devices.
●Excellent Heat Dissipation – The vertical corrugated design increases the cooling surface area, while the ceramic core provides efficient thermal conduction, enabling higher power density and lower temperature rise.
●Outstanding Overload Capability – Withstands 10× rated power for 5 seconds without visible damage, making it ideal for braking and surge absorption applications.
●Long Service Life – Cyclic load life exceeds 9,000 hours (10s discharge / 90s interval), with aging-resistant coating and a deformation-free ceramic core.
●Environmentally Friendly – Inorganic eco-friendly coating produces no smoke, no toxic gases, and complies with RoHS and UL safety requirements.
●Flexible Customization – Resistance value, power rating, dimensions, terminal orientation, and mounting brackets can all be customized according to drawings or specifications.

FAQ
Q1: Does the non-inductive design affect power rating or resistance accuracy?
A: No. The non-inductive winding method only changes the magnetic field distribution of the current path. It does not negatively affect the resistivity, heat dissipation capability, or power capacity of the alloy ribbon. Resistance tolerance and temperature coefficient remain the same as the standard version.
Q2: How can I determine whether a non-inductive version is required?
A: If your circuit uses high-frequency PWM control, fast IGBT switching, or experiences overvoltage ringing and waveform distortion, the non-inductive version is recommended. For ordinary 50/60Hz braking applications, a standard corrugated resistor is usually sufficient.
Q3: Can special resistance values or dimensions be customized?
A: Yes. DUFEW provides full customization, including resistance values beyond 0.01Ω–1kΩ, power ratings, ceramic tube length and diameter, terminal positions, and mounting bracket configurations. Samples can be produced quickly based on drawings or specifications.
Q4: What should be done if resistance drift exceeds the tolerance range after long-term use?
A: Prolonged high-temperature oxidation, high humidity, and frequent overloads can damage the alloy ribbon. If the insulation resistance falls below 100MΩ, replacement is recommended. Improving cabinet ventilation and selecting a resistor with sufficient power margin can significantly extend service life.
